Based in Maryland, with factories in Germany and the United States, GKD is a manufacturer of woven, stainless steel wire mesh. Applications are as varied as sun shading or cladding on a stadium to ceilings or the front of a reception desk, elevator interiors, and handrail safety. GKD’s newest introduction is MEDIAMESH, a transparent media fabric with LEDs woven into stainless material that conforms to a structure's unique shape.


Midwest reference installations include: The Federal Reserve parking garage and Horton Watkins Ladue High School, both in St. Louis; KCU Center for Medical Education Innovation, the Kauffman Performing Arts Center, KC Westin Crown Center lobby, the University of Kansas Behavioral Health Hospital, and Piper High School, all within the Kansas City Metro area; Salina High School South in Salina, KS; and OU Gaylord Family - Oklahoma Memorial Stadium in Norman, OK.
